If you have friends or siblings who had children before you did, you probably witnessed scenes that appalled you: temper tantrums and acts of aggression that you silently swore no child of yours would ever do. Well, guess what? All children, even the most mild-mannered and cooperative, act irrationally on occasion.Wow... have I ever learned that lesson! I was that person - swearing I'd never have a child like that. And now I know... some things are just unavoidable. I love being a mom through tantrums and all. And he is learning so quickly... tonight I caught him tugging on a leaf of my bamboo palm and I all I said was his name (in a somewhat stern voice). His response, "No, no." It was like he knew he was going to get busted. Oh kids are so much fun. :)
