Being crafty!

We had lots of time at home this weekend, which was very nice... But we also needed to keep Jack from being mischevious, so I tried a few more activities from the toddler book.

This activity was very simple - get a big container for him to load and unload things. I gave him five clothespins, so he would have something different. He liked the activity for awhile. Then...

... the container went over his head. He walked around babbling and looked a lot like a space alien!

Somehow, (I think it's because I'm super-mom - Ha!) even though Jack only took a 90 minute nap on Sunday, I managed to get a pair of pages done in his scrapbook. Nothing fancy, but they're done. (Note that they're pictures from LAST spring.)

Then we got really crazy and painted with jello. You just take a box of jello, add a little bit of water to make it into a paste and let them paint with it. He was surprisingly good at using the paintbrush!

Then he discovered that the "paint" tasted really good and all was lost.

By the end, he was a sticky mess, but we both had fun!

How fun! It sounds like you had a really great weekend.

I never thought of using jello! Did it stain the hands?

Wow, that's seriously productive! And the pictures in the album will PROOVE you were a good mom, right? That's what I keep telling myself, anyway.

The jello was actually pretty easy to clean up and there were no stains. Best of all, Jack though it was yummy! :)

Chris, you are super mom. I'm way impressed - scrapbook pages AND Jello painting?! That's way more than I've attempted lately.
