Loving animals

Jack really seems to like animals. I'm sure growing up with two dogs is contributing to that.

Last week there was a fly in our house that we couldn't seem to get rid of. Every time I tried to kill it, it was much too fast for me. So then during lunch one day, the fly landed right next to me on the table. It was a perfect opportunity to kill it.

I looked over at Jack and he was mesmerized by it. He was watching its every move. I let the fly sit for awhile and it flew away and then came back. Every time it would come back, Jack was watching and studying that fly.

During this perfect opportunity, I couldn't bring myself to kill it. Later that afternoon, it was still buzzing me and driving me crazy.

More pics of Jack here.

We have two dogs and four cats in our household, yet oddly enough, my children don't seem to care about our critters.

I love this picture! The hair and the face are just too cute.

Well, maybe Jack will care less as he gets older. But right now, he REALLY likes our dogs.

I wouldn't have killed the fly either, Chris. Good choice.

Jack likes Tonka so much he tried to taste his ear. Didn't turn out too well.

Yeah, that was pretty funny until he had fur in his mouth!

We are a cat household here. I think it's great when kiddos grow up with animals:)
