On Thursday, Jack went to daycare for the morning as a visit day. After his nap, we headed to the Joslyn Art Museum. Except in our nonchalant way of living the last few days, we didn't check the hours and showed up 15 minutes before they closed. Well, we saw a lot for free in 15 minutes. Then we went to the Bemis Art Center before heading to the Blue Line for a tasty coffee treat. We did some shopping and picked up some tasty BBQ sandwiches on our way home.
Friday brought lots of museum time and Jack was a superstar. We went back to the Joslyn in the morning and you know what's the best about art galleries from an 11 month old's perspective? You can shout and listen to your voice echo! That's what Jack did while we looked at the art (as much as we tried to keep him quiet). However, he did like some of the art. He LOVED the big room of owls on plasma screens. There was lots of screaming, pointing, and giggling.
Then we went to the Durham Western Heritage Museum. Seeing the old Union Pacific Railway and the building was pretty neat. Jack liked the Amazon part mostly because of the large fiberglass snake, as seen above. He just kept crawling back and forth while giggling and screeching. Whew.... We ended the day with pizza and beer. And now it's back to work.

Knee related news:
I rode with Bryan last Sunday to get groceries. It was about 20 minutes both ways. My knee was sore that afternoon, which prompted me to go see Dave at Bike Masters. I have an appointment next week for him to analyze my shoes, pedals, and pedal stroke. I'm hoping he can tune me up and help relieve whatever is irritating my knee. It's starting to irritate my brain too.
