To my blog friends: I hope you continue to visit my blog. I have had a lot of fun this summer getting to know different people and love visiting all your blogs. However, school has started and my blog has been put on the back burner. I hope to update it about once a week and have something interesting to say. Ha.
With that... here are some thoughts from this week.
* Jack is getting several teeth (we think). Teething has been challenging, but I think we're getting past the bad part (diarrhea, bad diaper rash, crankiness). He has a tooth poking through the top now.
* My first day with students was Tuesday. It didn't take them long to show their true colors. Usually we have a "honeymoon" for about 2 weeks where the kids are just scared to death, since they're starting middle school. No honeymoon this year - ugh. It could be a challenging year!
* Jack is wearing this for my sister's wedding. It's a tux printed onesie and he'll be wearing it with black pants. She was cool with him going comfy as her ringbearer since he'll just be a year old. Hopefully it looks cute.
* We got a tool for grooming the dogs called the Furminator. It works quite well so far. I bought a bottle of waterless shampoo/conditioner and it smells really good. Bryan wasn't as fond of the smell as I was. I also loved that it cleaned our dogs' hair without a bath!
The dogs didn't mind the spray and the shedding blade got a lot of undercoat out of both of them. Since both our dogs are very hairy, we sometimes have to vacuum two times a week during shedding season. I'm hoping by using this, our house will be a lot less hairy.
* I'm headed home today for my 10-year class reunion. Hopefully it's a good time. I know I'll be nervous beforehand, because that's how I am. But I look forward to seeing some old friends. I'll give you an update after...

Oh no! The honeymoon is already over? Sounds like it might be a crazy year!
After all these years and all this distance we still think alike with some things. Look at the title of my blog on the 14th. Too funny.

Yikes, sorry to hear about the students. That can't be good. I've been looking at that Furminator for our lab. Thanks for the info.

I'm starting back to school next week too. I wonder how I can possibly have two kids, teach full-time and commit to my blog the way I once did.
