First, Bryan apologizes for his "awesomeness" in taking pictures. His great photography skills are the reason for the picture dump.
We begin a week of celebrating Jack's first birthday... He celebrated at daycare with singing and cupcakes. He seemed a bit confused by both.
Bryan went out for his Wednesday night ride, so Jack and I split a cupcake after supper. Jack was very methodical in eating the frosting. One finger lick at a time...
Then it was time for presents. Jack got a frog pod, a bath toy, and a Wilco t-shirt. The t-shirt is too big, so we'll store it for awhile.
On Saturday, we had the big party. We went to the local park and were joined by grandparents, cousins, aunts, and uncles. It was a beautiful day!
We're tired of taking Jack to get the same poses taken for professional pictures. So Bryan tried out his skills in photography with some outdoor pics. He did pretty well and we have two poses that we'll blow-up for relatives.
This is one of them.

Although he wasn't smiling, this is the other good picture.
Jack's party was a monkey theme. My sis made the cake and it turned out really neat.
And there was lots of destruction to the monkey cake.
Jack is sleeping peacefully now. He was a tired little boy today...
