School is out for summer! And I realize now that I've been pretty lazy {awesome} this weekend and I've left a bunch of pictures unposted from the last week. So I'll attempt to catch you up!
We attended Veronica's son's birthday party last weekend. Jack got to make a cape, which he didn't really understand what it was for, but had fun making it. He's been running up and down the hallway with it on, so he's starting to enjoy it a bit more now. It was a beautiful day and a fun time.
I love this picture. Jack squeals with delight when he runs to you and you scoop him up and twirl him around!

Looking for bugs.
We might not have a pool, but this little boy is perfectly content with a few bowls of water. Saturday was a fairly mild day, so we put on the trunks and headed to the deck to play in the water.
There's a lot going on here... 1.Note the ugly gray sheet on the couch. Bryan's not quite back to full speed since his accident. He's still sleeping on the couch, so try to ignore the sheet, please. 2.This was in the middle of the afternoon and Jack had spent most of the day in his diaper. Our air conditioning quit on Friday {convenient}, so we've been toughing it out until tomorrow when we call to have someone check it out. 3.The remote is Jack's new toy. He knows it turns on the TV, but hasn't quite figured out how. 4.And finally, notice the shiner on his left eye. We went to the park this morning and he wiped out running around on the playset. He skid right on his face - ouch.

We ended the weekend with a little outside time this evening. As Bryan was grilling, we played in the yard. Jack's a hot little boy. There was a nice breeze, but when running around his little face still gets red.
And in summary, it's been a busy and fun weekend. I'm looking forward to the rest of the summer.
