I don't have much to say today... it's been rainy and we've been stuck inside. We spent the weekend in Cedar Falls/Waterloo. It was nice to be back, although both towns are suffering from the floods. We didn't see the damage in Cedar Falls as much, but downtown Waterloo didn't look great. We were in town for a wedding and we got to see many old friends. It was great to see so many people in such a short amount of time.
We noticed the number of people wearing UNI gear and it was kind of shocking. We're used to turning our heads when we see someone in Omaha with Panther gear on. It took a little bit to get used to it and realize that we were in the land of the Panthers. It was a great feeling!

In other news - I started physical therapy on Monday for my knee. My goal of racing at the Babcook Time Trial is shot. I'll be in PT for at least two weeks and then need to build my base up again. My goal now is to get back into shape over the summer and try again for a race later on. I hurt my other knee a few years ago and learned the hard way that you should NEVER push an injury. It caused me to end my running career (which had barely begun).

Finally, there is a great video of Jack here.

I'm telling you, that running will beat you up. Stay on your bike. :)
Thanks, Sydney. I'd much rather bike than run... so now I need to get back to full biking strength!
I hope physical therapy goes well for you! Sorry to hear about your injury.
The video is adorable!
Hang in there. You're doing the right thing by taking time off and doing PT.
Thanks for your support!! It's hard to take time off, even when it's necessary.
