The summer fun keeps on coming!

To celebrate Father's Day (and Bryan's ability to walk!), we took Bryan out on a hiking trip.  We went to the Hitchcock Nature Center and had a beautiful morning hike.  It was great practice for our upcoming vacation and the kids did a great job.  Fruit snacks and cold water definitely helped!  We found a color changing Yoda coffee cup for a gift and Jack volunteered his foot for a fun card painting.

I had a teacher STEM workshop later that week in Kearney for a few days and after getting to spend three math- and fun-filled days with Christy, we headed to MN to see our good friend, Laura!  It was a quick trip, but oh so wonderful to spend time with my best gal pals!   We met in Sioux Falls and went to the aquarium/butterfly house.  After the fun there, we went the rest of the way to Laura's parents' house and had a great time at the farm!  Although we have more kids, these three girls of ours are all within months of each other in age.  They had so much fun together (as did we)!!!

A good chunk of our June was spent at the swimming pool and splash park.  The kids both took swimming lessons and made really good progress!  Jack can now jump off the diving board into the deep end.  Maddy is so proud of her back floats and ability to bob her head under water! I'm sure there is even more time at the pool to come.

The best part of my summer, so far?  Time with these two!  Whatever we're doing, I love that they are the most important part of my summer!
