Jack is getting to be a good little bike rider. In fact, we got him a Strider bike this weekend that he can now practice balancing on in anticipation of taking off training wheels. It seems early being that he's not even 4 yet, but remember that Daddy is a bike shop manager. And Jack is the one who wants to take them off. So he's been ripping around trying new things on his bike. His latest trick.... riding with no hands. This is his bike with training wheels, but still, he's very proud of his newfound trick.

I have never heard of Strider bikes. I had to look it up and watch a You Tube video on it. ha! Avery's friend Anastyn turned at the beginning of June and just learned how to ride her bike without training wheels 2-3 weeks ago. So it was some positive peer pressure on Avery and she got it!! We tried unbalanced training wheels to force her to balance but still catch her -- but that didn't work. It was about a day and a half of Joel chasing after her and she did it (I think mostly because her friend could do it!)
Wow! That's pretty impressive. I don't know if Jack is quite there yet, but he is getting better at balancing.
One thing with a girl they aren't quite as daring. But then again you did break your collar bone when you were 4 years old. You were trying to show G'pa Graaf how you could do a cart wheel. Also the time you let Aaron Crahan lower you out of the playhouse window. So, if your daughter is like you'll have fun.
Ha! I forgot about the playhouse incident. I just remember getting into A LOT of trouble! :) And if she doesn't come up with them on her own, I'm sure Jack will teach her all kinds of things!
I don't think your mom has met my kiddos!! My son is very hestitant on most things (not a dare devil) and my daughter has no fear of anything. She saw a commercial for a bike with no handle bars and is asking me to get her one. ha! She will be my worry as she grows up!!!
