Wedding Weekend

My baby brother got married this weekend. I can hardly believe that he's old enough. I'm seven years older and it has always felt that he's just a "kid" compared to me. Although he's in grad school, somehow getting married solidifies it... he's not a kid anymore. It was a pretty wonderful weekend and a nice little family get-away before I'm back to school {which is sooner than I'd like to admit.}

Jack was one of the ring bearers in their wedding and surprisingly enough, was excited to wear his tux. I was pretty sure that he wasn't going to like to wear it, especially with the wedding being outside in July {in the Midwest}, but he liked his shiny shoes. He really liked the shoes because he could make loud noises with them!

He looks pretty sharp, huh?

A quick family photo before the real pics began.

The wedding party

The two ring bearers holding hands - The girl next to them was one of the flower girls.

This picture is too cute.

My brother on his wedding day with Jack.
This is probably one of my favorite pictures from the day.

Jack and his Aunt Liz!

A little warm from pictures outside, but being a trooper.

My family!

Another one of my favorite pics from the day.
I was trying to get a nice picture with Jack, but he was not going to be smiling anymore!
He did an awesome job with the professional pictures, so we got crazy instead!

Pretty close to smiling, but I still like the other picture better.

After pictures started to wind down, Papa Gary took Jack to feed the fish.
I love it when I get good pictures of these moments.

Great-Grandma Joanne with all her grandkids.

After surviving the hot picture-taking session, Jack got a new Cars 2 car to add to his collection.
He had been asking for Jeff Gorvette for quite some time, so he was ecstatic!
In fact, last week at Target, Jack had a mini-meltdown because he was pretty sure ALL the Jeff Gorvettes were gone!!! It was a rough moment for a little boy (but all is well now).

Jack doing his ring bearer duty.

They're married and such a cute couple!

One last picture of the night - a dance with Uncle Matt.

Aww, thanks. It seemed like it took FOREVER to find something to wear to the wedding, but I ended up with a shirt that I really like. :)
