Writing It Down

I saw a blog awhile ago that had a post about writing down all the little thoughts that we will forget without a record. I can't remember where I saw it.... Sorry. But it motivated me to write down all the funny little things about Jack that I don't want to forget.

• Amaze me everyday with how many words you know
• LOVE Elmo and seem to notice him everywhere
• Can name Elmo, Oscar, Cookie Monster, and Ernie quite well
• Make a “la, la, la” noise when you see Big Bird (not sure why)
• Love to be tossed around and wrestled
• Say “bus” everytime you hear or see a large vehicle
• Make my heart melt when you say “Tanks (thanks), Mama or Tanks Dada.”
• Couldn’t live without your books
• Put your hand to your ear and say “El-lo (Hello)” when you see a phone or ipod
• Love balls, especially your dinosaur bouncy ball
• To climb, carry big things like your Elmo chair, and stack
• Like to be helpful by picking up the dog bowls, stacking dog food, and putting things away (Hope you continue to love picking up!)
• Seem so smart when you say “Dada Bye-Bye” several hours after Daddy left for work
• Say phrases like “No, no Ponka Ponka Ponka” (to the dog) or “Ponka Out” when Tonka goes outside
• Sometimes you say “nice” when you give hugs and pat us on the back like we do to you
• Love to watch the birds in the morning through the front window
• Spontaneously say “Mama, Dada, Mama, Dada” or “Papa, Nana, Papa, Nana” to nobody in particular
• Call every frog you see “Eyes.” You know it’s a frog and can point to one when asked to. But, from some reason, you call them “Eyes.”
• Love to be cuddled up like a baby after your bath. We’ll wrap you up and hold you tight like a swaddled baby for a few minutes right after you get out of the tub.
• Are an amazing, wonderful, loved little boy!
