Rough Days and Happy Endings

It's been a rough week around here. Actually a rough 10 days....

Let me start with last Wednesday - Jack and I were home by ourselves and all was good, UNTIL we were getting pajamas on for bed. After getting down from the changing table, Jack projectile vomited all over me, himself, and the floor. It totally caught me by surprise!! No signs of sickness (except for I do recall that he wasn't as hungry at supper as he usually is). Luckily Bryan got home about 5 minutes later so that I could clean the carpets, Jack could get another bath, and generally get things cleaned up. That is an experience I hope I don't get too many times in my life! Ha.

Jack was sick all that night. He vomited several more times and we ended up giving him a third bath at 1 in the morning. Poor boy. I stayed home the next two days to care for him. He was a tired, sick little boy.

Then the weekend came and Jack was starting to feel better! Yay! Except then Bryan got the flu. A violent flu. Jack was still running a fever, so he wasn't completely better, but enough were it should have been a fairly normal day.

I thought I missed the flu until Sunday evening. I never vomited, but I spent a good few hours on the coach with a VERY upset stomach. Everyone was able to go back to work on Monday, which was good. But then on Tuesday I started getting a cold. I've been tired and cranky ever since. This cold is kicking my butt!!!


But, here's the good ending...
Two great things happened today at school. ONE - I was offered a three-week summer school position that sounds really exciting! It's actually a five hour day and is great pay. We can definitely use some good financial news around here. :} TWO - I won three free Qdoba coupons at school in our weekly drawing! There's nothing like a free burrito to cheer me up!!
