We are home from our 6-day Christmas trip and it was great! We are so glad to be sleeping in our own bed again, but the responsibilities that we have been able to ignore over the last week are appearing again. Hate that. So now we're doing laundry, tidying the house, cooking, cleaning, running errands....
A recap of our Christmas:
We spent a few days visiting Bryan's family and seeing a few friends. It was a good time until Christmas morning. Bryan and I were excited that Jack was going to be opening his first Santa gifts. However, a flu virus changed those plans. Jack woke up sick and feverish on Christmas morning. He was a clingy, sad boy for several hours. He ended up being sick for a little over 24 hours. And as always happens, his fever disappeared right after we made a doctor's appointment. We took him anyway and spent an hour waiting to find out that there was nothing wrong with him now. Well, at least we had a little peace of mind.
However, he spent the better part of the next day being a screaming, angry little boy. He's ALSO getting his one-year molars. So he wouldn't eat and pretty much everything set him off. I felt bad for both our families that were looking forward to quality time with him. Finally on the last day of our trip he was back to his old self. It was such a nice feeling to have a happy, energetic, and fun-loving Jack back.

if you zoom in on the picture with Jack and I, you can see where he threw up on me. Sweet.
