Summer Mode (Maddy @ 3.5 Years)

Well, I see that I haven't posted anything since April.  What can I say!?! May was a busy month and now that I am getting into the swing of summer, I hope to catch up on some blogging.  It takes me a week or so to get used to being a SAHM.  I'm weird, I know.  But the time management of days is different and I don't have as much free time as I think I will!

My first item of business: Celebrating the fact that this sweet little girl is now 3 and a half!  We don't usually celebrate 1/2 birthdays, but she has changed so much since turning three that I wanted to document it.  I can not believe that she is on her way to being 4.  Where does time go?  I swear it is moving faster with her than it ever did with her older brother!

Here are some fun things about my sweet Maddy at 3 and a half...

Here hair is long enough and she is now letting me both braid it and put it in a ponytail!  I think the warmer weather helped persuade her to do that.  Makes this mama happy!  She wants to do "homework" like her older brother, especially math work.  She is getting REALLY good at riding her strider bike.  Sometimes "take my breath away" frighteningly so!  She still has her "stink eye" and uses it often.  Her love of books is still going strong.  She is fun-loving and has a great giggle!  A teacher friend says her laugh is just like mine.  I hadn't ever noticed that, but her laughs are definitely contagious!  She is getting really good at writing the letter M as well as other letters.  She loves to draw, color, and use lots of washi tape!  She loves to pretend she is a cheetah or a kitty and her favorite shows rotate between Jake & the Neverland Pirates, Octonauts, and Daniel Tiger.  She often talks and/or sings herself to sleep at night!  Love this silly girl!

Here's a little glimpse into her silliness.  The first two videos are of her trying to blame the dog for a fart.  (She is a gassy little girl!)  Her giggles are too much!

I staged this video just because I LOVE how she says "girl."
