As May usually is, it was a busy month and went very quickly! I have so many fun pictures though that I wanted to get them posted. I was pretty much spoiled on Mother's Day again this year. I woke up to a latte from Scooters (my favorite!), breakfast from Panera, flowers, and a new Cubs t-shirt. Woohoo! Jack was very excited about celebrating with me. He even made me this awesome piano card. It was the sweetest. Maddy, on the other hand, was less than excited despite having an amazing cinnamon roll in front of her!
We got to attend a friend's wedding mid-May and these two were so darn cute, we had to snap a few pics. The wedding was at the Durham Museum and besides being a beautiful wedding and having yummy food, we got to tour the museum too. We all had a really great time!
We also got to celebrate this old man's birthday too! The kids are so funny as they insist that we decorate the house and since Bryan's favorite color is silver, we made a silver "Happy Birthday" lantern for the dining room. We also made delicious brownies and watched Bryan open up his gifts (Sriracha socks and a Wilco LP). The bottom right pic is where Maddy drew a chalk picture of Daddy with his "spikey hair."
Other random May pics: Dad got to visit in May and we made an impromptu trip to the Union Pacific Museum in Council Bluffs. There was a city celebration going on, so we scored a ride on a train. So much fun! We all got ready for some baseball playing in the back yard and attending the first games of Jack's season. Some of the games were cold, some nicer. Jack's cousins even got to catch a few games!
