Oh my, am I soooo happy that spring is here! As the kids are getting older, it's becoming more evident how much fresh air and running around is needed! :) Over spring break, Maddy and I got to take a girls day to the zoo. Jack had spring break a week before me, so he was at school for the day. There are so many babies at the zoo right now! We didn't get a good pic of the baby giraffe, but the cuteness of the others is below!
On another nice Saturday in March, I took the kids to the Lauritzen Gardens to see the Lego exhibit. It was a bit different than the one we saw in Ames, Iowa a couple years ago. I find it so impressive all the planning that goes into these Lego figures. And, of course, the kids loved the building section too.
Last weekend we had gorgeous weather for Easter! We decided to skip the craziness of a big Easter egg hunt and had one in the backyard instead. My sister's family came over, so my niece and the kids got to enjoy all the eggs. They loved it! My Dad got to come for the weekend too and it was awesome, as always, to spend time together.
Easter bunny loot... We try to go easy with Easter bunny stuff, so one toy for each kids with a couple extras is what they got. Maddy got a play cash register, bubbles, some new markers and Jack got a small Lego set and new flip-flops. Special goldfish crackers were a huge hit too. Our kids are so easily pleased! I love it. Ha!
Easter Sunday church is probably one of my favorite services of the year. We got ourselves all spruced up to celebrate! Happy Easter!
