So students come tomorrow and my school year starts! Aaagh! It feels like summer went so quickly with my babes. I miss them already and will be making the most of every weekend with them. One of my constant goals is to do my best to balance family and work. It can be really hard at times, but I have to... my babies will be grown before I know it! So here's a whole lot of pictures of all our summer fun!
Lots of outdoor time -- especially when we were at Jack's baseball games!
Riding bikes is always popular at our house!
Children's Museum -- we love visiting! Funny story about the pics with Maddy and the cow. My sister was with us and casually asked Maddy if she had ever milked a cow. A minute or so later, she was over by the cow holding up a carton of milk to its mouth. I asked her what she was doing and her response, "milking the cow, Mama!" Silly girl!
Of course it wouldn't be a true summer without one of the kids getting hurt. Luckily it wasn't anything major, but a big goose egg from running into her doorway. Poor baby was hurting for awhile though!
Water fun -- There wasn't as much of it as normal this year. It was unseasonably cool, so we only had a couple trips to the splash park and pool!
Zoo Trips -- We had several this summer! Jack got to ride a camel and we got to touch stingrays too. So cool!
Of course I had to get a little bit of work done. The word "little" is being used loosely as this was a huge project. I decided to wash, sand, and stain our deck. I really like it, but look forward to not doing that again for several years! The pics are before, during, and after it was complete.
Here are some random silly times -- Jack was constantly playing Legos. The kids begged to have "sleepovers" in each other's rooms so many times. They are so funny because they really just went to sleep. But they thought it was awesome!
Outings to the library (there were many) -- One of the visits included getting to see and pet farm animals. We also went to a health fair where the kids got to climb in a fire truck and police car. They thought it was a blast!
And here's Jack testing out the police car's speaker system. He was a hoot! Oh, I am already counting the days until next summer!
