Baseball Season

Baseball season in Nebraska starts in April.  Jack played again this spring and loved it!  This was his final year in coach-pitch and the season went through the middle of June.  I really like the league he plays in, because all the families are fun and not overly competitive (not that they keep score at his level).  There aren't a ton of practices and the kids learn the most from playing games.  They were the navy team this year and called themselves the "Blue Thunder."  Bryan was the head coach this year and Jack loved having him coach again.  He even ran up to him after one of the final games and gave him a hug with a big "I love you" as the team was having their post-game pow-wow.  So sweet!

Here are some of my favorite pictures from the season.  Jack switched from throwing left-handed to a more natural right-handed throw (which also meant the purchase of a new glove)!  He really improved from last year in throwing, catching, and batting.  He was always so proud of himself when he would hit a line drive from a pitch!  Of course, I also captured a few fun pictures of the shenanigans of 6 year-old boys playing baseball (i.e. goofing around).  And Papa even made it to see a game too!  Jack loved having him there.  Next year, he's on to Farm 7, which means the kids and coaches will pitch, outs will be counted, and there will actually be a score.  It is so much fun seeing him grow and improve!
