Jack's Start into Baseball

We are definitely a baseball family.  We don't have cable and rely on Netflix & Hulu Plus for our TV needs.  We love it because it only costs us about $18 a month!  However, we also spend a chunk of change each year to buy the MLB TV package.  Having the Cubs on TV is one of my favorite things about summer.  Jack has even gotten into watching and following the Cubs!  Of course, that warms our heart.  Jack played coach-pitch baseball this year.  We never did T-Ball with him, so this was his first year of organized ball.  There were a lot of rainouts and several cold games (hence the many pictures with long sleeves), but it seemed that he enjoyed himself nonetheless!

The ball parks are really close to our house, which is a definite plus!  Jack was on the Royal team and they nicknamed themselves the blue dragons.

I think Jack enjoyed hitting the best.  They got 7 pitches from the coach before they used the tee.  He only used the tee every once in awhile.  He had many good hard hits from the coaches pitches, which he was pretty proud of!

Bryan even got to be part of the pictures since he was a volunteer coach for Jack's team.  He did such a great job with all the kids.  It was really fun to see them getting to enjoy the game together!

I love these first two pictures because they catch the reactions to the cold games he had this year.  He was quite cold in the second picture, but seemed to be just fine once he got his snack!  His grandparents even got to come visit and see a couple games too (bottom).  Now here's hoping that he continues to have fun with baseball all summer long!

Yay, I love this! Jack looks like he's having a blast! I can't wait for Grant to get to play too :)
