Camping in Pictures

We've gone camping a few times this summer, but the best trip was the one we took at the beginning of July.  We got to spend four days camping in a spacious cabin with my family! {We were really roughing it, I know!}  It was so much fun!  Here's our trip in pictures...

1 - Papa Gary helping Maddy do some early morning coloring.  2 - Maddy getting in on making waffles.  3 - Aunt Sarah helping her measure out the ingredients.  4 - Jack opening his early birthday present from Uncle Matt & Aunt Liz.  5 - Maddy watching all the fun with Matt & Liz (and wondering why she isn't getting a present!)  6 - Cousin time with Aunt Liz and Baby "Button"  7 - Hot, sweaty walk on the trails.  8 - Maddy LOVES her Uncle Matt!  9 - Two tired girls... You know they're tired when they put their heads down on the lawn chair!

1& 2 - Jack spending some quality "fishing" time with Papa.  "Fishing" is a loose term as I had to rescue the bowl of worms that Jack spilled and wouldn't pick up!  I don't get it, because he plays with worms from my garden all the time!
3 - Sarah & Paige eating mulberries from a tree on the trails.
4 - Maddy enjoying a popsicle after a morning walk.

The park had a nice beach and we enjoyed swimming in the lake on two different occasions.  However, after two trips and dealing with all the sand that came with beach swimming, we decided to have our own water fun on the third day.  One of the highlights of the water fun was Maddy spraying Paige's hair and then "fixing" it.  They played like that for a good 10 minutes, which is a long time for a couple of toddlers!

We definitely had quality family time and now I'm looking forward to next year!

So fun! We aren't cambers, I could sure do it cabin style. Funny about Jack and the worm. Grant insists that worms bits, so we can not touch them. I'm not sure where he gets this stuff????

Staying in a cabin is the closest I would ever get to "camping."
