Maddy is one spunky girl. I'm not sure yet if it's her personality or the fact that she's the second child, but she definitely makes herself known! For the last 4 or 5 months, she has developed a spirited personality! And part of that personality has earned her the nickname "Dictator" by Daddy. Maddy will make it known what she wants and if she doesn't get what she wants, she will go into an all-out tantrum fest. I'm slightly terrified what her "terrible twos" will be like! She has started using the "yelling and throwing her body" around technique when she doesn't like what's going on{at a much too early age, I must say}.
The fun part of this "I'll do what I want" personality is that Maddy LOVES her pink shoes. I shop almost exclusively at thrift stores for the kids' clothes and these cute shoes from The Children's Place were only $4! They looked almost like new when I bought them too. Maddy has grown to love these shoes so much that when we're at home, she has them on almost constantly. Even when she's just gotten done with breakfast and is still in her jammies, she'll go to her room and come out with her shoes. She'll find someone (even Jack will put them on her) and say "Uh, uh" {translation - Help me!} and hold her shoes out to you. It is too cute and of course, we oblige! The shoes are only going to fit for so long, so I'm going to have to start shopping for new ones. If only she could tell me what she likes about them so much. Ha! I love her to pieces!!!
