I took a trip home this weekend with the kids to see our families. It was a fun & relaxing time. I wish we could do it a little more often. Without a couple extra days off from work, it's almost too stressful. We live just far enough away that you need more than Saturday & Sunday to make the trip worthwhile! We headed home on Friday after Jack's Easter party at daycare. Saturday started off as a drizzly day, but turned out to be fairly nice (minus the wind) by later in the day. We got to see Bryan's family early on in the day. None of my pictures turned out very well though. :( Jack got to do two Easter egg hunts with his cousin, Evan. One was the city egg hunt and the other was at Bryan's parents' house. The boys had a blast playing legos, checking out their Easter baskets, and just being silly! After heading back to my parents' house, we walked to the park for some outside time.

Easter morning was pretty fun for Jack. Grandma Renee made Easter Bunny cinnamon rolls and there were more Easter eggs to be found!

Maddie looked so cute in her Easter dress. A fun little fact... Right after taking pictures of her and Jack together, she started to whine and fuss. I picked her up and found that she was COVERED with poop. Fun. This has become a daily occurrence with her. She bursts right out of the top of her diaper. We bought a huge box of Pampers due to a great sale. I'm {patiently} waiting to be done with those diapers so we can see if another brand is more successful!
Since Bryan wasn't able to go home with us this weekend, he got all the eggs ready for one last hunt when we got home Sunday evening. Jack got to look both inside and outside and had a blast finding all the eggs!
I got one more day off on Monday. While Jack went to daycare, Maddie & I had a girls day at home. I worked on preparing clothes for a consignment sale (yuck) and Maddie caught up on her naps. She was one exhausted little girl from the weekend of traveling!

looks like a wonderful easter!!
and oh man do i remember those diapers! i remember literally just looking at her like how in the heck did all of that just come out of you? soooo crazy!!
I am totally putting the Bunny Cinnamon rolls in my mind for next Easter. LOVE that! The one thing nice about Natalie going to formula is no more explosions. I really think duct taping the top of the diapers to their waist is the only way to stop the explosions. (Pretty sure that is frowned upon...)With all three kids we never found a diaper that protected from that totally. I found Target diapers to be the cheapest and do as good of a job as any of the other ones.
Do you think Maddie looks like Jack? I never did until the picture of her sleeping. I could totally be wrong....I am SO bad at that stuff.
