Our baby girl has arrived!Madelyn Mary was born on 11-11-11 (pretty cool birthday!)
Although I had a planned induction on Friday, it was total luck that she got the nifty birthday! My blood pressure had been slowly creeping up, so my OB decided it was best to deliver and scheduled for me to be induced. When the nurse called me to set it up, she gave me the appointment for Friday morning. It wasn't until I called to tell Bryan that he pointed that it was going to be 11-11-11! This final baby bump picture was taken that morning before we left for the hospital.
Madelyn was 7 lbs. 11 oz. and 21 inches long. She was one inch longer than Jack when he was born, but EXACTLY the same weight. She was born at 2:19 p.m. and because I'm a numbers nerd, I realized that had she been born one minute earlier (2:18 p.m.), the digits would have added to 11! Yep, told you I'm a nerd.
And here are a few pictures of big brother Jack. He was pretty excited to be visiting during the late afternoon cookie delivery to our hospital room!
Madelyn "hooked him up" with a cool big brother gift. He got Cars 2 and some fruit snacks. Bryan watched the movie with him Sunday afternoon as we started settling into life at home with two kids.
Proud big brother Jack - so far he has taken a liking to his little sister. He's been a pretty good helper (in between some bouts of craziness) and likes to give her kisses on the head.

Porgie was due on 6-5-06. My husband thought it would be hilarious if she was born on 6-6-6. But she held out and was born on 6-7-06.
I am SOOOO excited that she is here finally! Now our trio of girls is complete! I want you to know that I was 7lbs 11oz and 21 inches long as well! She is destined for greatness for sure. :-)
I can't believe how much hair she has. So stinkin beautiful just like her mom. I showed Nat the pictures and he was shocked at how skinny you were everywhere besides where Maddie was snuggled in. You looked great.
I hope you are resting it up as much as possible with 2 kiddos. Give Jack kisses from the Mitchell crew. We look forward to seeing you over Christmas!!
Yay!!! Congrats she is beautiful! Great birth date so cool! Jack looks so cute as a big brother -melt my heart! Enjoy these precious first moments!
