I got very crafty this year and made Jack's costume!
(And a big thank you to my mom for teaching me how to sew....)
It started with a gray sweatsuit. My mom made the sweatshirt, because believe it or not, it's hard to find just a plain gray sweatshirt! The tummy, hair, and ears were added to the sweatshirt. The hair was probably the most fun to make.
Then there was the tail... It was a challenge, but turned out really cute. At first Jack hated the tail, but after he got used to it he didn't want to take it off! I also had to make boot covers.... For those of you who might not know, Boot the Monkey has signature red boots. Jack had blue boots, so instead of buying new ones, I made red covers.
I love gummy worms!!! I totally bribed him to put his costume on the night before his daycare party. I wanted to get a picture of it in case something happened during the day. At first when he saw it, he kept saying "Don't want to wear it, Mama" over and over again. That is, until I explained that wearing a costume means candy! He didn't want to take it off after that.
Halloween night - A little light reading before going out to trick-or-treat.
Checking out the costume.... Please ignore the ugly blue carpet.
Our last stop was at my sister's house. My mom was in town, so she got to see Jack all dressed up too! Sarah had homemade playdoh which was a great distraction from candy.
One more cute picture. I'm kind of sad that it's already over.
I love celebrating holidays so much more now.... He really puts a fresh perspective on things!
Hope your Halloween was great too!

You are so ridulously talented my 4-H friend. Jack is one lucky little boy. He looks adorable.
And for the record...the photo w/the ugly blue carpet is one of my favorites. Very cool pic!
Thanks for making me feel so warm & fuzzy inside, everyone! The costume was actually pretty fun to make.
Katie - I liked that picture too. I got the lighting just right.... so ugly carpet or not, it had to be posted!
