Birthday Fun in Pictures

Jack's birthday was on Thursday. But since Bryan wasn't going to be home that night, we celebrated one day early (and we've been partying ever since!) It was pretty low-key with a surprise bowl of ice cream and one gift from us. Jack loved blowing out the candles!


Jack's main gift from us was a really nice play set. Our neighbors wanted to get rid of it and it is a nice Rainbow brand play set. It's several years old, but in great condition. We plan to sand and stain it and it will hopefully look like new. Saturday morning, with the help of wonderful family and friends, we got it moved into our yard. Jack has played on it a couple times already... The first thing he said this morning was, "Go swing?"


Even with the craziness of moving a play set, I decided to make Jack's cake this year. Ahem, with MAJOR help from my mom. She baked it while we were working outside and did all the difficult parts of the frosting. I spent just about the same money as if I would have ordered one, but it's from the heart, right? It turned out pretty nice.


His big birthday party today was a good time had by all. Jack was pretty mellow all morning due to a very busy day on Saturday. He skipped his nap today and hit the hay hard tonight. But all in all, he was a good boy!


So excited to be 2!!

Having a good time sharing with his cousin. He broke his leg a couple weeks before and was limited in moving around. Jack was happy to oblige by playing on the blanket with him. They were cute to watch playing together.

And that's that. We're exhausted, but so thankful for great family and friends to celebrate with!
