One might look at the above picture and ask the same thing. "What's dat?" Answer: That is Bryan with a broken back. He crashed his bike on a training ride and spent four days in the hospital. Although I agree that bike racing is a dangerous sport, he has had some bad luck lately. He's not as crippled as the picture makes it look although he's pretty limited in his physical activity. Oh, and the "old person grabber" was a funny gift from his parents. Ha!
There's been a lot of this... gentle playing with Jack.Between mowing, running errands, cleaning, working, and taking care of my boys, we've been trying to enjoy a little bit of summer life.
Jack enjoying a ride from Great Papa. We celebrated Great Papa's 75th birthday with many relatives at the farm.
And a post wouldn't be complete without a couple cute pictures of Jack. Since daddy's not riding his bike, Jack thought he would take over the duty of wearing bike gear! The funny thing is that the hat almost fits him!

Breaking your back does not sound or look like fun!
Oh no! Sorry to hear about your husband's back. Sounds awful.
Ouch! It looks like he'll be fine, eventually, right? Thank goodness! The grabber cracks me up - my kids love those things. Hope he heals as quickly as possible.
He will be fine, but it's going to be awhile. He has to wear the brace for 6 more weeks and then has another x-ray to check on the progress. He's lucky that he can walk and didn't have to have back surgery, so we're thankful!
like a real broken back?? honey that's awful!! poor him and poor you!!
hoping for a speedy recovery!
Wow. I'm so glad Bryan will be OK! The grabber is pretty funny!
