The good news around here is that Bryan is working again. The not-quite-so good news is that it's not for much money. So we're scrimping, ALOT. We have called a few businesses to negotiate our bill prices, such as gym membership and cable.
I have spent several hours researching purchase prices. I went to Sam's Club and wrote down unit prices for many items we buy regularly. Then we took a family trip to Costco, were we did the same thing for nearly two times as many products. I then compared ALL those prices with what we're paying now. And it looks like Costco wins. They have many more products for even cheaper prices than Sam's Club. We will be buying in bulk very soon.
Through all this, I keep wondering, why did it take something huge like a job loss to pay attention to what we're spending? Sometimes a little slap in the face does you some good....

Glad to know Costco is the winner. Thanks for doing the homework!
I know what your saying. John and I just started trying to pay down our credit cards. Why did the economy have to collapse before we noticed how frivolous we were being with our money?
