Jack has a much bigger vocabulary than we have been giving him credit for. Last weekend, Bryan started asking him to go find different things and I joined in. Jack knows many words like ball, baby, duck, book, frog, and bear. He can go find any of those items when asked. He also knows sign language for please, more, eat, and all done. Amazing! We talk to him all the time, but never realized how many words he actually knows. And I'm sure there are many more.Yet with all those words, he couldn't quite express how badly he wanted out of the leaf pile last weekend. :) The pleading eyes tell it all.

How exciting! Isn't it just amazing how much they learn and know at such a young age?
Receptive language skills usually come first. What a smart boy!
It is amazing when we realize how much they actually understand! I am amazed daily! Love that picture!
I am thrilled you taught Jack ASL. We agreed in college we would do the same. I taught Eric basic signs as I learned in class and we use it to this day. I made Mom send my ASL dictionary back so we could brush up.
Love the pic of Jack.
LOVE that photo. Beautiful.
