My sister's wedding is a week from today and I'm her maid-of-honor. I was so happy that she asked me to be in her wedding party. But with that honor comes the expectation to SPEAK at the reception. Aaaaaaahh.
I didn't give it much thought until tonight when we attended another wedding reception. Now the gears are rolling. I have lots of ideas, but how do I put them into a speech that doesn't bore everybody? Better yet, what if I make a lame joke? With one week to go, I'm starting to worry about it. In fact, I was just looking online and there are people that sell pre-written wedding speeches. Interesting. In the end, I want it to be good, but also from the heart. I know it'll all come together - it might just take a drink or two...

Good luck! I am terrified of public speaking.
Just go in prepared but be ready for tears...I'm guessing it will be packed with emotion. Most of all, have fun--she's getting married!
