Tossers & Savers

Bryan and I are exact opposites when it comes to "stuff." He's a saver and I'm a tosser. I hate clutter, love organization, and when it comes to most things, if we don't need it, I want to get rid of it.

So we tackled a "big" part of our storage today. I put "big" in quotation marks, because our storage is just about non-existent. We moved from a house with three times the storage a few years ago and now we have a kid, so things are feeling cramped.

It was a successful day. We both did some tossing and some saving, but we have a lot of things we are donating to Goodwill and a few things we're going to try to sell. We ended the long afternoon of sorting, reminiscing, and repacking with fewer boxes than what we had when we started. It was a good feeling.

Other weekend news:

* Jack started walking for real this weekend. All of a sudden he was standing and started to move. He's cruising pretty well now. It's funny how all of a sudden it just clicked.

* We also went to the pool one last time for the summer. It was a nice day and the pool wasn't very crowded. Jack had fun and was a much better "swimmer" than last time. I think his legs being a bit stronger helped!

Hope all of you had a great three-day weekend too!

Ah, yes, we have the "tosser and saver" situation, too, except that I am the saver and he is the tosser. I want to be the tosser, I really do, but it's so very hard for me! We spent yesterday doing some seriously tossing, though, and it did feel good. Clean! Yeah!

Love those walking photos, such a sweet time.

Those photos of Jack walking are great! And, yes, I LOVE organizing and tossing. I went through my closet this weekend, a task long overdue and got rid of some stuff and organized the rest. Thanks, BTW, for the x-wing fighter. Rye will be happy to benefit from your weekennd of organization. :)

Yay for Jack! Isn't it crazy how it just 'clicks' and then they're off and walking?! Good for him.

We used to battle the "tosser and saver" situation too, but now I've become a tosser and we're both happy. It just feels better to be clutter free.

It sounds like you had a great weekend!

Ha. My husband and I are the same way. It makes for organizing the house difficult.
