Jack has several new tricks. His hair is getting long again and he likes to feel it on his forehead. So he shakes his hair back and forth like he's saying "No."
After all the hard work with teaching him sign language, he is finally signing to us! I was starting to give up, but we realize that he signs "more" when he's eating. Yeah. So now I'm motivated to sign more. Any other good words that are worth teaching toddlers?
Bryan went to the Tour of Missouri last week and brought Jack and I back some gifts. Jack's gift was a cowbell. Awesome. So the guy who was complaining about noisy toys bought his son a cowbell... Nice job, sweety.
Jack likes to "kiss" people. But often he sucks up his lips so tight that he can't figure out how to let them go!
After a visit from Aunt Liz, Aunt Sarah, and Grandma Renee and then another time with Dad, Jack figured out how to get in and out of his bus. But sometimes he only gets in and then gets stuck. He pooped in the bus later in the day. That's right... poop all over the blocks. Fun.--------------------------------------
It's conference week at school this week. Every year they get a little easier. I think being a parent has really changed my perspective on things. I'm much more honest with parents and blunt when I need to be. I want the same when Jack is in school and that has affected how I teach. I really like being a parent and a teacher. It's much easier to understand both perspectives.

Physical therapy has started again. My PT is trying some new things, which is good. He twisted me up like a pretzel last time to see if my hips would move back into alignment. I really hope it works. I feel like I've been complaining about it.... but it is tough to not be able to exercise. I feel pounds attaching to me. I like food, but I also like to exercise it off. That's tough when I can't exercise!

What a cutie pie!
We've been teaching our little one some signs, too. So far we've stuck with more, eat, water and milk (for nurse). As she masters these, we'll also add juice, swing, ball, please, thank you. I'm trying to think of the signs we ended up teaching her older sister. Basically just anything we encounter on a daily basis that would help her communicate her needs/wants with us.
Good luck!
Pooping on the bus. Not cool.
i totally know what you mean about having new perspective as a teacher once you become a parent.
it's completely different - in a good way :)
I LOVE the photo if him getting stuck on the bus. And I'm just laughing about the rest of the day!
Ah, I love the videos! Too, too cute! And the kiss photo? What a sweetie.
I hope you have a GREAT weekend too!
