Christmas 2016 - Parts 2 & 3

We made it safely to Algona for Christmas Day and had a wonderful, relaxing visit!  Jack was quite excited to get a World Series Cubs sweatshirt from Papa and Nana!  He has a t-shirt and has pretty much worn it non-stop since November, so now he can rotate the two.  The kids picked out a fun t-shirt for "Papasaurus." Nana got a pair of hand-painted oven mitts for all the fun in the kitchen they have with her!  Jack and Evan got some quality time playing battleship together while Maddy and Violet played Barbies.  Fun cousin time!

While in Algona, Jack got to have his first of the six bottles of Coca-Cola from Santa.  That boy loves soda.  :/  Maddy talked Daddy into putting together her Barbie dream-castle from Papa and Nana.  She loves it!  Maddy got Nana to join her for art time (which we know is Maddy's favorite time).  We got to learn how to program Jack's new Ozobot Bit.  Maddy loved it too, which made my mama-heart swell! And we even went to the YMCA for some family swim time.  It was a great activity to get the kids out of the house for a bit!

After some fun days in Algona, we headed back to Omaha for our final Christmas celebration with my brother's family in town.  Maddy and Jack loved getting to play with their cousins all together!  Maddy even made more "gifts" for everyone including a sweet paper necklace for Aunt Sarah.  Sarah rated quite well this year from the Paper Santa (Maddy)!

To add to the fun of cousin time, we took the crew to the Omaha Children's Museum for New Year's Eve.  It was adorable to see Jack have so much fun playing with his two youngest cousins.  And of course, there were many girl giggles to be had.  Thankfully, Uncle Matt got to spend some boy time with Jack too!

After a fun day with the kids, the adults got to have some New Year's Eve fun too.  We laughed so hard that I was tired well before midnight.  But we all held out and got to ring in the New Year together... I am thankful for getting to spend it with my siblings!  Happy 2017 everyone!
