Our sweet girl turned 5!

"The days are long, but the years are short." Oh, how this explains parenthood!  I can hardly believe that 5 years have passed since my baby girl was born.  She has grown into quite the personality!  She LOVES to craft.  Our dining room table is constantly in some sort of mess of paper pieces, crayons, markers, stickers, string, etc.  Her favorites are drawing rainbows, flowers, and people.  Maddy loves to invent games too.  Sometimes they involve crafting materials too.  She loves to paint and one day even decided to make a "clothing store" by creating clothes to put on hangars.  Her creativity amazes me!

Along with her creative side, Maddy has quite the silly side and often a stubborn side!  She learned to whistle this year and spent several months spending every waking moment whistling!  Whistling while she plays, whistling while she draws, you name it!  Maddy is also quite the picky eater.  Parmesan cheese is the only topping she really likes (no ketchup, dressing, sauces, or anything).  But if there is a food she doesn't like (like fish sticks for example), dip them in parmesan cheese!  And sometimes... eating dinner is just hard.  Especially when mommy and daddy won't make you macaroni and cheese every night!  :)
