Halloween of Fifteen

We have had a beautiful fall so far and we have spent as much time outside as possible!  Lucky for us, the weather has been nice as we have done yard work, raked leaves, and took family pics (more to come on that later).  The kids got new pumpkin decorations from their papa and nana and as fall is my favorite season, I loved making the table display on the deck!

Poor Maddy was sick the night before Halloween, so she missed out on the first round of trick-or-treating.  In fact, the poor babe has strep throat and then another throat virus a week or so later.  While we stayed home to snuggle, Jack and Bryan went to visit on of his clients and have some Halloween fun.  Jack was a darn cute Harry Potter, but there was a ton of drama with the scar on his forehead!  He almost refused to leave the house with it on.  I made sure to get some pics because I didn't think he'd let me put one on again and I was right!

Thankfully Maddy's virus passed quickly and she was well enough for trick-or-treating on Saturday.  While Jack and I were running errands that afternoon, her and Bryan carved the pumpkin and discovered that the red flashing bike light made a great jack-o-lantern light!  It looked really cool on our front stoop.  Bat girl and Harry Potter had a lot of fun trick-or-treating!  I went along as Wonder Woman while Bryan handed out candy.  Afterward, we made a quick trip over to my sister's house and the super hero girls got a picture together too.  Holidays are so much fun when you get to spend it with your kids!!!
