Go get 'em, my little superhero!

Because Maddy was Bat Girl for Halloween and her birthday is right after that, she decided in early October that she wanted a super hero birthday party!  I was so excited to plan her party as it was going to be a fun one and not just about princesses!!!  I wasn't originally planning to have a kids party, but when she got so pumped about her friends wearing their costumes to her party (almost everyone else was a super hero too), I couldn't say no.  :)  It was such a beautiful day, so after a quick game of "pin" the sticker on the super hero, we headed outside.

My favorite part of her party was the spray the spiders activity!  We bought several cans of silly string and each of the kids got to use their best spiderman skills to spray the spiders on the web.  The kids had a blast!!! Each of the kids got their own can of silly string in their gift bag too.

After some outside play, it was time for cupcakes and ice cream.  I made pink lemonade cupcakes again (same as her 2nd birthday).  It's such a delicious recipe that I stuck with a good thing.  Maddy opened gifts from her friends, the kids played a little more, and just like that... her party was over.  It was short, sweet, and so much fun!

After the kids party, we got to have more family time at our house.  Maddy appreciated that her sweet baby Emma even wore her super hero outfit!  Maddy's party was a few days before her birthday, so we got to celebrate even more after that.  Maddy wanted a pizza for her birthday, so Bryan worked his magic on a special pizza for her.  She helped, of course, because she is his pizza assistant.  Maddy also really wanted a little cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes, so I surprised her with one on her actual birthday.  She got shy when it was time for us to sing.  Silly girl!  As her face in the last picture shows, it was a fun birthday week for our dear Maddy!
