December Adventures

Here we are... December is nearly over and it's almost 2015! I've decided to hurry up and get our December adventures recorded before a whole new year of fun begins.  I've resigned myself to letting this blog be more of my electronic scrapbook than anything else, but I love that I get a comment or two every once in awhile!  At least when I scrapbook these pictures down the road, (a year or two from now - ha!) I'll remember the finer details of our adventures.   The snow pictures are actually from November, but who's keeping track?!?  The first two are in our backyard when we barely got a dusting of snow, but the kids insisted that they wanted to go out & play!  I love the excitement of childhood!  The others were from our Thanksgiving trip to my in-laws.  They had enough snow to even pull the kids around in the sled.  Both Nana and I got quite a workout pulling these two monkeys!

Getting ready for Christmas - We had two trees again this year.  Our big tree is in the family room downstairs where it is much easier to put up.  I hate not having one on the second floor though because we spend most of our time there.  So the mini-tree goes in the living room.  The last few pictures are of Jack all spiffied up for his school holiday concert and Maddy cheesing it up at church waiting for that program to begin!  My favorite part of Jack's concerts was when he winked at us twice while he was singing!  He did a little head bop with his wink and smiled afterward.  What a goober!  Wish I could have gotten that on video.  Papa Gary gave him quite the hard time afterward claiming that he must have been winking at his girlfriend!

Timmy came back again this year!  Each day he came with a little message and was ornery some days.  Jack had an elf at school named "Mr. Jingles" and Maddy's daycare elf was "Spike."  Between the three of them, the kids were very entertained each morning!  Jack commented that Mr. Jingles was the naughtiest, but that Timmy was the sloppiest because he always left a mess!

We'll leave you with our musical little 3 year-old singing "Jingle Bells."  I am pretty impressed at how well she has learned some Christmas songs this year!
