We are well into the school year here and I am happy to report that it has been smooth sailing for Jack in 1st grade. His first few months of Kindergarten were a little rocky as some little boy behaviors just aren't great for school! :) However, we just had his parent-teacher conferences not that long ago and he is doing fantastic in 1st grade! I'm so proud of him. His teacher said not only is he doing well academically, he is a great helper in the classroom. Jack has even said himself that he likes helping other kids. Math is his favorite because it challenges him (his words, not mine!). Ha! Writing is still not his favorite, but he has improved greatly in that area. He likes reading and so much so that he "sneak reads" sometimes under his desk. As a teacher, I'm used to having that problem with students too! His favorite special is PE because he gets to run around a lot. Jack just got to start "enrichment classes" for kids who need to be challenged a bit more and he is extremely excited about it. All in all it has been a great year for him so far! Now here are some highlights of his FIRST day of school in August.

I'm so glad he's doing well, I can't believe how fast he's growing up. I still remember eating with You and him at Zio's when we were planning for summer school he was in a high chair. Crazy!
