Does he look like he's ready for First Grade? They tell us he is, even if he does silly things like getting stuck in the "baby" swing!
One of Jack's highlights toward the end of his Kindergarten year was getting to bring home "Jeffrey" and "Ann" and take care of them for the evening. Each student in his class got one overnight visit from the bears including a backpack of items to take care of the bears with. They were to take pictures of their adventures and add to the class journal of their adventures. One of the highlights was playing Blink while the bears watched. (Blink is a card game that is fast, fun, and perfect for Jack's age). Jack loved having the bears visit!
The last month of school was full of fun days and a field trip! 1- Jack at field day. Bryan got to have a picnic lunch with him that day. / 2-4 - Bryan also got to take Jack and his zoo partner, Bryce, around the zoo for a day as all the kindergartners got to go to the Henry Doorly Zoo!
Maybe this is how they determine if you're ready for 1st Grade... You can draw your self-portrait! (I kid). I loved the sketch and painting of himself that Jack made in art class and had to share! And Jack celebrates the beginning of summertime! I can't believe we have a first grader!
