Look what Jack is going to be in November! Jack knows pretty well what's going on... he's been very interested in watching his Aunt Sarah "grow" as she is expecting a baby also (in August). He also has been watching a baby grow at daycare and talks about what kinds of things babies do.
He's made a couple funny comments already.... One of them was a random comment at supper one night. "Some day, I'm going to be the boss of that baby." All we could do was laugh and say, "Yep, you're probably right!"
The other big idea he has is that the baby's name should be Jack. He doesn't care that his name is Jack. He thinks it would be cool to have TWO Jacks! And if it's a girl, he wants to name it after his friend at daycare. How funny!
It has been very interesting how different this pregnancy is from when I was pregnant with Jack. I've talked to many of my girlfriends who are expecting their 2nd or 3rd and they seem to feel the same way! Some things I've noticed this time around:
- I'm not nearly as excited to be pregnant this time around (meaning I'm excited to have another baby, just not to get huge & uncomfortable!). Maybe it's because I know what's coming..... Ha!
- The time is flying by! I am only 5 days from being done with my first trimester and I have done hardly anything related to the baby. By this time with Jack, we had all kinds of plans at least figured out in our heads!
- I am waaaaaay more tired this time around. It's definitely due to having a three year-old, but it's amazing how much energy it takes.
- We have NO names that we really like right now. We had Jack's name picked out within a couple days of finding out I was pregnant!
- It's really nice to only have to worry about buying a few things to prepare. We have everything from when Jack was a baby, so by replacing a couple things, getting new car seats, and decorating another room, we should be set! If it's a girl, we'll obviously have clothes to buy too. :)
