Super Jack!

It amazes me constantly how fast my "baby" is growing into a big boy. Last weekend, Jack had a birthday party for one of his preschool friends who just turned 4. There was face painting and at first Jack wanted nothing to do with it. But then after seeing two of his friends get their faces painted as a dragon and Batman, he decided to give it a try. The lady was super fast so there was no way for him to quit part-way through.

It was great that he picked to have a Spiderman face because he perfected his web-slinging the night before. Bryan went into Jack's room at 9:00 to put him back to bed and found him sitting in the rocking chair with the light on in his room. When Jack noticed Bryan was there, he jumped up and exclaimed, "I can spray webs, Daddy! Look!" He obviously had been sitting there trying to figure out how to get his fingers in the perfect position for web-spraying. It was a priceless moment. Of course, after he got his face painted like Spiderman, he went around showing everyone how to spray webs.

Along with the face painting, the kids spent time with some beautiful horses. They got to tour the horse barn, pet some of the horses, brush and even ride one. Jack had a blast and after all the convincing that it took to get his face painted, he cried when we had to wash it off that night. His tears started washing the paint off which made him cry even more! But then the world was right again when he discovered that face paint makes the tub water very, very red! And for a little three year-old boy, red bath water is very cool!
