Taking the snow boots for a trial run

It's barely October and we received over 3" of snow on Saturday morning! I was quite surprised when Bryan told me that there was A LOT of snow on the ground early in the morning! Jack was pretty excited and was begging to go out and "touch it." So I promised him that after getting groceries, eating lunch, and taking a nap that we would go play in the snow. The sun came out shortly after noon, but thankfully there was still enough to trudge around in by the time Jack woke up. I didn't enjoy having to dig out the mittens and get all bundled up to get groceries, but Jack's enthusiasm wore off on me and I wasn't as grumpy. ;) Luckily, I already had a pair of snow boots for him so he got to try them out for the first time!






And speaking of taking it for a trial run.... We're no longer test driving this shiny, white beauty! I got a new car a couple weeks ago (sorry for the delay in blogging about it)! It's a 2008 Rav4 with about 37,000 miles. It runs great and is so quiet! I love that all parts of the stereo work and the heat and air work quickly. I forgot what it was like to have a nice car. ;) I feel a bit spoiled now!
