Although we have had plenty of snow around here this winter, until a couple weeks ago, we had had NO snow days! Finally it snowed in the middle of the week and we actually squeezed two days off because of it. It was glorious! It was the nice kind of snow for snowmen and playing outside too. I love snow days with my babies! There is nothing better than playing with them, watching a movie, reading a book, drinking coffee (or hot cocoa for the kids) and relaxing!
Here's a little more of what we have been up to since Christmas.... Bryan took the kids to the annual Star Wars night at the Children's Museum. It was bitter cold that night and I did NOT want to go, so he took them and I stayed in (yep, I'm a whimp!). Lily has properly taken over our household being so much more demanding now that she is the fur baby in charge! Maddy is starting to read a little and loves to write and make artwork. I'm impressed at how well she can write her name now! Our dining room table is taken over by Legos at least once a week. Other Maddy tidbits: she is starting to nap less and has quiet time instead. This sometimes results in a very messy room after quiet time. Below she is "sorting" all her homework. She likes to help set the table (see artwork) and has a great imagination!
Our snow days helped us get our Valentine's done too. Heart raccoons to tell our loved ones that we are "wild" about them! Maddy drew a picture of our family with heart stickers (she's being held in the air by daddy). The kids rode the ferris wheel at Scheel's with Bryan when we were out shopping on Sunday too. Maddy realized she was now tall enough to ride, so it was hard to say "no" to her sweet little pleading voice! :) Best of all, I got to spend the day with all my loves! Happy Valentine's Day!
