We took our own family pics this year and it was quite an experience! We have a decently nice camera and played the light well so our backyard was looking good in late afternoon. However, we did have to rig up our own tripod using our ladder, tupperware containers, and masking tape. It was quite funny to watch for our neighbors, I'm sure! For the whole group pic, I had to run under the ladder, focus, set the timer, and run back out from under the ladder without knocking the whole set up down. It was quite the deal! And, finally, our best pics of the kids. What is funny is that one of my favorite pics is the kids together and it was the very first picture I took! They turned our pretty well, but next year we might work harder to get some professional pics done. :)
