More Summer Fun

We have been super busy already this summer!  So much so, that I have hardly had time to blog, let alone sort through all the pictures I've taken.  I am really loving taking pictures and trying to better my skills with the manual settings on my camera.  A little over a week ago, my dear friend, Laura came to visit from Kentucky.  We used to teach together and have been great friends since.  Christy, Laura, and I are good friends and so it was great to get our kids together and enjoy each other's company, if even for just a day!  We took the kids to the Lincoln Children's Museum for the morning and it was a blast!

These pictures were so much fun!  In the police & fire area of the museum, we got to get photographic proof of our heights.  The first picture is of all our little munchkins.  The two bottom pictures are us girls (Laura, myself, and Christy) and our baby girls, which happen to be the same order as the three of us!

We had a busy weekend last weekend with a baseball game and then a night of camping.  I got to go on a date with my boys to an Omaha Storm Chasers game (sorry, no pictures) while Maddy stayed with my family at the campground.  We met up with them at Jack's baseball game and then camped with them Saturday night.  It rained and stormed once again, so the kids didn't get to play outside much.

These are funny pictures, because none of them look like they are having fun!  Ha!

This weekend we traveled back to Iowa to celebrate my new niece or nephew expected to arrive in September!  It's my brother and sister-in-law's first baby, so we had fun throwing a baby shower!  We used an idea that I saw at another baby shower where everybody attending the shower makes a scrapbook page and then all the pages are put together as a baby book.  We laid out cards with page ideas and then guests could pick a theme and use all the paper, stickers, glue, scissors, etc. to make their page.  We also had each guest put a little tag on their page to note who made each one.  It turned out really neat and it seems like everyone had fun doing it!

We attempted to get a picture for Liz of her with all her nieces and nephews.  It was tricky, but were semi-successful.  The left picture has almost everyone and the right picture has every body, but notice that Jack is dragging Maddy into the picture!
