I am two weeks into my 10-week summer vacation. And it has been wonderful! It always takes a good week or so to transition from working mommy to stay-at-home mommy. And you'd think I'd be blogging a bit more, but it seems my inspiration always comes at times that I can't sit down at the computer. And even when I remember what I wanted to write about, it seems the words have disappeared by the time I can get to the computer (either that or I'm too tired). And I'm kind of okay with that, because that means I'm spending quality time with my kids. However, I also don't want to forget all those "little" moments. The ones that really make my heart happy.
So far, we have made an extended weekend trip to see our families, have visited the library, done some shopping, gotten the carpets cleaned, made a trip to the zoo, played a few different parks, and enjoyed several runs & bike rides in the nice weather. Through all this, I have learned that the 30-minutes prior to the kids waking is the most important part of my day. If I don't get up and get some coffee and possibly a shower, I'm out of sorts for a good chunk of the morning. Most importantly, I'm learning that these two are the most wonderful faces to see every morning, noon, and night. I'm going to soak up every summertime minute with them.
