So far, Jack has truly loved being a big brother. For the first month or so, he marveled every time her eyes were open. Understandably, but he would exclaim, "Her eyes are open, her eyes are open!" every. single. time. Now that's not as much of a novelty and he's on to exclaiming loudly every time she smiles at him. He loves it! And I love that he gets so excited about the little things. He loves giving her kisses on the head and holding her hands.
We've really emphasized how important it is for him to be a big helper. He loves that role, but sometimes takes it a bit to far! However, he has mastered the fine art of giving Maddie her pacifier, which is something we practiced! And now he has started showing his friends how to give a pacifier the "right way." So precious. Now let's just hope that he continues to love her this much when she starts getting into his things! We shall see...

Maddie was getting a lesson on the Cars 2 cars - names, countries, all the info.

And then they ended up underneath her bouncy chair.

My favorite... Jack loves reading to her. Even when he doesn't know all the words, he makes up his own story.

i don't think there is anything sweeter than watching siblings together. the way the oldest takes care of the littlest and the way the littlest watches the oldest? it is so magical. such an incredible bond!
